Dental implants

An implant replaces the root of a missing tooth; a porcelain crown goes on top and looks and chews like a natural tooth. The whole process is done at our clinic.

How the process works.

First an evaluation with an X-ray to look at bone and gums. Then the titanium implant is placed under local anesthesia, the bone is given 3 to 6 months to integrate it, and finally the permanent crown is fitted. We also do bridges and full-arch rehabilitations on implants.

If you're coming from Guatemala or the United States, we plan the phases around your travel dates and you can send us the X-ray ahead of time. Payment is split by phase, with a plan arranged at the clinic.

An implant is for you if

  • You're missing one or more teeth
  • Your removable denture moves or is uncomfortable
  • A tooth is going to be extracted and you want to replace it
  • You want to chew on both sides again
  • Your gums are healthy or ready to be treated

What we get asked most.

How does the Santos Dental payment plan work?

We offer installment plans for treatments such as implants, braces and root canals, arranged directly at the clinic for your case. From the patient portal you can check your balance and payments anytime.

What is a dental implant and how long does it take?

An implant is a titanium post that replaces the root of a lost tooth; a porcelain crown goes on top and looks and chews like a natural tooth. The full process takes 3 to 6 months: the implant is placed, the bone is given time to integrate it, and then the crown is fitted. Everything is planned and done at our clinic in Santa Rita de Copán.

Can anyone get a dental implant?

Almost every adult with healthy gums and enough bone can. If bone is lacking, it can sometimes be regenerated first; uncontrolled diabetes or heavy smoking lower the success rate and we review that with you. If you are coming from Guatemala or the United States, we plan the phases around your travel dates. Start with an evaluation and, if you like, send us an X-ray ahead of time.

Whenever you're ready, the calendar is open.
